Privacy policy

Bunch is an app for hanging out with your friends: seeing who’s around, buzzing them, chatting, and jumping into voice and video parties. This page explains what we collect to make that work and what we do with it. Bunch is made by Bunch Live, Inc.
What we collect
- Account: when you sign in with Apple or Google, your name, email address, profile photo and an account id. You pick an @handle.
- Profile and avatar: your bio, the photo or avatar you choose, and selfies you take to create an avatar.
- Friends and activity: who you’re friends with, your status and mood, buzzes, invites, parties you join, and when you’re online.
- Messages: the messages you send in chats, so they can be delivered to the people in them.
- Voice and video: your microphone and camera stream live to the people in your party while you’re in it. We don’t record calls.
- Connected accounts (optional): if you connect Spotify, Discord or a game profile, the details needed to show what you’re listening to or playing.
- Push notifications: a device token so we can send you notifications.
- Product analytics: how the app is used, such as opening it, which screens you visit, and when buzzes, invites and parties happen. These events are tied to your account id, along with your approximate location (city and region), which our analytics provider works out from your IP address. They never include your messages, status text, contacts or the names of the people you talk to.
What we don’t do
We don’t sell your data, we don’t use it for advertising, and we don’t track you across other companies’ apps or websites. We don’t read your phone’s contacts.
Who processes it for us
We use service providers to run the app. They only process data to provide their service to us:
- Clerk: sign-in
- Convex: our database and backend
- LiveKit: live voice and video
- OneSignal: push notifications
- PostHog: product analytics
- Minimoji: avatar creation
- Spotify and Discord: only if you connect them
Who can see what
Your friends see your profile, status, online state and the parties you’re in. Ghost mode hides you from them. People in a chat or party see what you share there.
Your choices
- Edit your profile, status and avatar in the app at any time.
- Turn notifications, the camera and the microphone off in iOS Settings.
- To get a copy of your data or delete your account, email privacy@bunch.live.
Children
Bunch isn’t meant for children under 13.

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
